To avoid the water loss of Antik® and get better adherence to the wall, 1 kg Izole Lak Pure Acrylic Primer should be mixed with 5 lt of water and must be applied to the wall by using brush or paint roller until the surface is saturated. Acrylic Putty must be applied for slight imperfections and Rustik Putty must be applied for subtler imperfections.
Application by Spraying Method
After the surfaces have been prepared for painting, acrylic paint that is reduced by using approximately 20% water should be applied as two layers.
Then Antik® which is reduced by 5-10% water is applied quickly and easily by using spraying method. The grains may be thin or thick depending on your texture preference.
Application by Using Trowel or Spud
Antik® which is reduced by 20% water is applied to the surface as a first layer by using lambskin paint roller. 12 hours are needed before applying the second layer.
After waiting 12 hours for the surface to be dry, Antik® Paint is reduced by 10% water and applied by using lambskin paint roller. You can give textures to the surface by using trowel, spud or patterned paint roller when the surface is still wet.
The surface becomes dry in 12 hours under the temperature of 20oC and 65% humidity conditons. It takes 36 hours to be resistant to impacts and dry completely.
For the application of Antik®, the surface must be stable and solid. So if it is applied in a new construction, four weeks are needed for the hardening of the cement.
